A Special Visit

We had to privilege of having Dad and Verna Mae here for a visit over Palm Sunday weekend. They came for the Great Lakes Conference that was being held here in Nappanee. It was a wonderful visit. My health, for the most part, held up and did not cause any problems while they were here. I was very grateful for that. It may seem like a small thing, but when one deals with something that can disrupt even the best-laid plans, it was a blessing to me.

I enjoyed Dad’s reminiscing his Africa days. I never tire of these stories of his and Mother’s experiences in their early years together. I am glad that Daddy took the time to write his memoirs as they are an invaluable gift to his family. I have not read it from cover to cover. I’ve only read snippets here and there, but I will read it from cover to cover some day, of that I am certain. And, I am blessed to have it and will treasure it always!

I am adding some pictures from their visit.

For the record, I really like the beard!! I love you, Daddy and Verna Mae.

You know--I note a resemblance between Daddy with his beard and your fluffy white dog!
Very nice photos--and I am glad you had a good visit, and that your health held.

I'm also glad you had a good visit. We love you both, and Dad and Verna Mae. The beard is so cool, and such visits make the best memories.
